Attic situated in the higher part of the city of Barcelona, zone with a great acoustic impact. The property ordered pivoting windows with the requirement of soundproofing the e building. State of the work There were only irregular holes for windows existing previously. Diagnosis The windows that we were dealing with were of great dimensions and the glassware were of great thickness (5+1+5 mm.), and due to these characteristics, the weight of the windows oscillated between 80 and 90 kilograms per window. Solution Windows were fabricated according to the measures of each irregular hole; the profiles were fit to adapt to the thickness and weight of the crystals, and adequate ironworks were chosen to be able to work these windows (Graetsch-Unitas/GU.)
